The Nice Guy Syndrome

How many times have you said this about yourself "I know I have chronic nice guy syndrome. Every one of my girlfriends have told me I am a nice guy, I am sweet, I will do anything for them and on and on."

Now this is something you know you want to stop doing as the "Nice Guy" doesn't always end up with the girl. Now I am not saying to go out an be a jerk, but just change some things about yourself.

My advice is: Change what you expect to get from your behavior.

Right now you know what to expect from her - more of the same. If you expect respect for yourself, you will get it.

Again, do not be a jerk. This won't work.

You may win this woman for a short time by doing that...but then what happens when a bigger jerk comes along?

Do you escalate?

It makes no sense. You don't need to change who you are for another person. In fact, you shouldn't do this.

Respect yourself and demand respect for yourself. You may not win her with this, but you'll find there will be someone better.

Look at what you want...

What kind of relationship you want in life, what kind of person you want to attract, what you have to offer. Get that straight in your head and you can easily walk away from the relationships that destroy your own self.

Because you'll be confident that there's something better.
